Andrew Mee

Andrew Mee joined the Vancouver Symphony as 4th Horn in September, 2012. Before moving to Vancouver, Andrew frequently performed as guest Principal Horn with Symphony Nova Scotia. He has also performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra, and freelanced extensively in the New England area.

In 2010 and 2012, Andrew attended the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Massachusetts, where he played principal horn in Mahler’s Third Symphony under Michael Tilson Thomas. He has also attended the Pacific Music Festival in Japan, as well as the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, The National Academy Orchestra of Canada, and The Banff Centre.

Andrew graduated from Yale University in May, 2012. He also holds a degree from the New England Conservatory. His principal teachers were Harcus Hennigar, James Sommerville and William Purvis.
