Faculty Chamber Series: Distant Journeys

Enter into a musical journey with this stylistically and culturally diverse program, featuring works from Armenia, The United States and Germany. Peterson’s Tribute Trio offers a taste of his favourite composers, evoking beautiful melodies and exciting rhythms. Khachaturian’s Trio for Violin, Clarinet and Piano evoke Gypsy-like, carefree qualities that entrance the listener. The music dissipates like a dream in this ethereal trio to make way for the sheer might of Brahms’ Piano Quintet, a masterwork heralded as an experience not to be missed.
