Kimerica Parr

Kimerica Parr is a versatile performer and educator, recognized for her work in opera, musical theatre, and concert settings across North America, Europe, and Asia. She has appeared on Time Out for Opera and YTV’s Deke Wilson’s Mini-Mysteries and has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Michigan Opera Theatre, Windsor Symphony, and AIMS Orchestra under Maestro Edoardo Müller.

Kimerica holds a Bachelor of Music (Voice), Bachelor of Education (Drama/Music), and a Master of Music (Vocal Performance). She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Anderson University. As a dedicated teacher and member of several professional associations, Kimerica was named a 2021 Teacher of Distinction by the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Now an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus, Kimerica teaches voice lessons, musical theatre, and voice pedagogy. She also co-directs the Parr Academy of Vocal Arts with her husband, Michael, and continues to inspire students and audiences alike.  She is thrilled to join the faculty at the renowned Vancouver Academy of Music, teaching Voice, Choir and Speech Arts and Drama.
