Founded in 1969, the Vancouver Academy of Music (VAM) is a non-profit institution spreading a love of learning and musical excellence. Minutes away from downtown in a traffic-calmed location, VAM’s spacious facilities offer a home for music-making against the scenic backdrop of Vancouver’s waterfront and the fields of Vanier Park.

A View from the Stage
Events

Mounting more than 50 public concerts each year, VAM offers students numerous opportunities to take the stage in performances and competitions. Public concerts, masterclasses with world-renowned visiting artists, and exchanges with national and international partners enhance the educational experience and bring music to the community. VAM’s flagship event series features VAM Symphony Orchestra in the world-class Orpheum Theatre and West Vancouver’s state-of-the-art Kay Meek Arts Centre. Click to view our events.
