TERMS OF SUBMISSION

Submission process

  1. 1. Submissions are first come, first serve
    2. Only students submitted online will be considered.  No paper submissions accepted.
    3. Submissions must be made by a teacher.
  2. 4. You will receive an automated email when the form is submitted successfully, and a second email from VAM Administration when the student is confirmed to play in the concert.

If you have questions or concerns about the submission process, or if you did not receive an automated email within a few minutes of submitting, please contact Adam ([email protected]) or come to the front office during office hours.

Length requirements

Maximum performance time for each student is 8 minutes.
You may submit two pieces or movements (at the most) as long as they are both under four minutes.  Otherwise, please submit only one piece or movement that meets the 8-minute maximum.

Accompanist will be provided free of charge. Rehearsal costs are to be covered by the performers. Rehearsal times are to be arranged by the performers.
To promote enhanced public speaking and communication skills, each performer is welcomed to announce their namerepertoire selection and accompanist (if applicable) before their performance.
 
 

Submission deadline: Friday, April 26th, 2019

 

Declination of Submissions:

VAM administration reserves the right to decline submissions if the student’s performance is not a reflection of VAM programs, if the student has been absent without excuse for previous concerts, if any of the terms stated herein are not followed, if the concert has already reached capacity (e.g., if a concert is filled outside the regular office hours of staff monitoring submissions and the form is not yet updated), or for any case deemed appropriate by the Executive Director. Notice of declination will be sent promptly when the issue comes to the administration’s attention.
