Since moving to Vancouver in 2003 from his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, hornist Nick Anderson has been active as both a performer and educator. Nick currently holds the position of 2nd Horn with Vancouver Opera and regularly performs with many ensembles including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. He also plays with the Touch of Brass Quintet, Turning Point Ensemble and various chamber ensembles in the region. Nick received a Masters of Music in Horn Performance from The University of British Columbia. As an educator, Nick is dedicated to sharing his love of music through masterclasses, clinics, and his own teaching studio. In his spare time, Nick can be found exploring the city on his bike, or tasting his way through Vancouver’s vibrant cafe and restaurant scene.
