Daniel Marshall

Daniel Marshall holds a Bachelor of Music from University of Calgary and a Master of Music from University of British Columbia, studying music composition under Allan Gordon Bell, David Eagle, Keith Hamel, and Stephen Chatman. Awards include the University of Calgary Silver Medallion in Music as well as a scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for his research in music theory. Daniel is currently an MBA Candidate at the University of British Columbia.

In the areas of non-profit arts administration and governance, Daniel has provided marketing, graphic design, event organization, brand development, and communications consultation services for organizations such as the Players and Singers Society and Vancouver Cantata Singers. He has served on the Board of Directors for the B.C. Association of Community Music Schools, Vancouver Pro Musica and Vancouver New Music.

Daniel is Director of Operations at Vancouver Academy of Music and is a faculty member of VAM’s Theory Department.
