RCM Speech Arts & Drama

RCM Speech Arts: Ages 13-15

Instructor: Kimerica Parr
Class Time: Saturdays, 1:45-2:45pm

Class Description: The RCM Speech Arts & Drama program is a dynamic and engaging curriculum that fosters communication, creativity, and confidence in students of all ages. Through speech, drama, and performance, participants develop essential life skills in a supportive and stimulating environment. This program, designed by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), integrates artistic expression with personal development, offering students opportunities to explore voice work, storytelling, and dramatic techniques. This is a full year class from September to May (32 weeks) It is a multidisciplinary program focused on developing clear and expressive communication, dramatic interpretation, and public speaking skills. Combining the art of spoken word with theatrical performance, this curriculum encourages students to refine their voice, body language, and storytelling abilities. It is ideal for:
  • Students seeking to build self-confidence and improve public speaking skills.
  • Aspiring performers who want to explore drama, storytelling, and acting.
  • Individuals interested in enhancing communication skills for personal or professional development.
  • Creative children and teens who thrive in collaborative and imaginative settings.
