Summer Adult Beginner Strings

Recommended for: Adult beginners with some experience
Class Time: Session 1: Monday-Friday, July 4th-8th, 7:00-8:00pm Session 2: Monday-Friday, August 22nd-26th, 7:00-8:00pm

Class Description: This class gives adult beginners the opportunity to experience playing in a string ensemble with a focus on developing technique and the foundation for basic music reading skills. Minimal string playing experience required; varying levels of music-reading skills are welcome.  

Summer Vanier Park Symphony

Recommended for: Intermediate to advanced adult string and wind players (no audition required)

Class Description: Summer Programming: Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream Joseph Elworthy, conductor Monday-Friday, July 18th-22nd, 7:00-9:00pm Strike up new friendships with a vibrant ensemble that will help you brush up on your technical skills in a supportive group environment! VAM's adult orchestra explores performance practice of seminal masterpieces while acquiring a deeper understanding of their musical significance and historical context. Please Note: There will be no refunds/credits granted for those withdrawing after the start of class.
