Koerner Piano Trio marks the opening of its inaugural season as Ensemble-in-Residence at the Vancouver Academy of Music with an exuberant celebration of Mozart and Mendelssohn. Mozart’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major presents a dashing display of brilliant virtuosity; Pärt’s Mozart-Adagio paints poignant colours on one of the most touching movements from Mozart’s piano sonatas; and melodies sweep in graceful contours in Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in D Minor.
