We are excited to introduce two new string orchestra programs at VAM – Stradivari Players and Amati Players – offering exceptional opportunities for intermediate and advanced students to elevate their musicianship in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
Led by Joseph Elworthy, President & CEO of VAM and Professor & Division Chair of Cello, both ensembles present two distinct programs each year, including a commissioned premiere and a featured soloist from within the ensemble and VAM faculty. Emphasizing collaboration and artistic excellence, both ensembles offer a unique and dynamic performance experience in a supportive environment. Every musician plays an integral role in shaping the collective sound and interpretation, all while refining their skills in a high-quality setting.

Amati Players (Intermediate)
Ages: 9-13 | RCM Level: 7+ (violin/ viola/ cello/ bass)
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 5:00-6:15 PM | Mary Olson Hall
