Songs of the Wasteland

Class Description: koerner Recital Hall Tickets $10 general, $5 students/seniors available at vam.ca This musical drama is the journey of Renia Perel - a story of tragedy, survival, hope, and healing. Echoing fragments of Jewish tradition and culture in 20th - century Europe, Songs of the Wasteland is dedicated to Holocaust Remembrance and honouring those who risked their welfare for the Jewish people. This production features VAM faculty members in collaboration leading Vancouver musicians.

Chamber Music Masterclass with Apollon Musagete Quartet

Class Description: Ensemble Rooms A and B Co-presented with the Vancouver Recital Society Pawet Zalejski and Bartosz Zachtod, violins; Piotr Szumiet, viola; Piotr Skweres, cello Winner of the International Music Competition of the ARD in 2008, the Apollon Musagete Quartet soon became a frequent feature of the European musical scene, captivating public and press alike with their thrilling performances.
