VAM Childrens Harp Ensemble

Recommended for: Harp students of all levels
Class Time: Junior - Thursdays, 5:45-6:45pm, 6 classes per term Senior - Thursdays, 5:30-7:00pm, 4 classes per term

Class Description: Join VAM’s Harp Ensemble for children to explore from classical to popular music and build a strong foundation for playing harmoniously in an ensemble. Our annual optional audition offers students a chance to be featured as a soloist. In addition, the Junior ensemble will explore different harp techniques and learn the art of conducting; the Senior ensemble will focus further on teamwork, active listening and improvisation.  The acclaimed ensembles perform regularly in celebrated events such as VAM Harp Fest, Vancouver Harp Day, and the Kiwanis Festival.

Adult Chamber Music: Play with the Pros

Recommended for: Adult learners
Class Description: A unique ensemble experience, each chamber group in Play with the Pros will consist of one member of VAM's faculty, where you can enjoy the benefits of mentorship and collegiality that come from performing with a professional musician. Class time to be scheduled at the mutual convenience of students and teacher. Chamber Music

Recommended for: Ages 10+; Suzuki 4+/RCM 6+
Class Description: VAM's chamber music program is the perfect opportunity for young musicians to experience the communal nature of making music, developing the essential skills of communication and collaboration. Class time to be scheduled at the mutual convenience of students and teacher. Students wishing to register for fewer than 16 classes per semester must have permission from the teacher. Click below to begin the registration process.
