A stunning display of chamber music inaugurates VAM’s Faculty Chamber Series, a presentation that exemplifies the high quality of VAM’s musical instruction led by Vancouver’s leading musicians. Eleven faculty members perform in a spectacular selection of works ranging from Oesterle’s fiery Sunspot Letters, inspired by letters exchanged between Galileo Galeli and Mark Walser, to the stunning virtuosity of Bartok’s Contrasts, in addition to Franck’s graceful Piano Quintet and Mozart’s delightfully charming Oboe Quartet.
